The Office of Safety and Youth Development (OSYD) provides Respect For All professional development workshops for school staff to promote a safe and supportive school environment for all students.
OSYD’s mission is to foster safe, supportive and respectful learning communities in which students feel connected to their schools and staff members set high expectations for all students, helping them develop pro-social skills, promote respect for diversity, engage in responsible decision-making, and become self-regulated learners who graduate from high school well-prepared for college and/or careers.
The Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) offers several types of on-site training for school staff. To request one of the workshops below at your location, please submit a Staff Development Workshop School Staff Series Request Form.
OEO serves the students, families of students, teachers, administrators, and other NYC DOE staff by educating them regarding their rights and responsibilities. In doing so, they promote and ensure compliance with all aspects of federal, state and city laws, as well as the Department's policies and regulations.
