Electives are offered to our 7th & 8th grade students. There will be three cycles this school year and students will be able to select a different elective each cycle.

How to start a Business
Learn how to create different types of jewelry using beads and complete fun craft projects. Work with your hands and your imagination to create something interesting!
Band
Learn to play in a rock band with other students. Become a better musician and improve your skills on an instrument. BAND IS A YEAR LONG COMMITMENT.
Badmiton and Tennis
Learn how to play two different sports, badminton and tennis. Spend two extra periods a week being active. Become a better athlete and teammate!
Chess
Learn the rules of chess and different strategies to win the game! Practice critical thinking and logic while you master the game!
Current Events
Discuss and debate current political and social issues that you think are important to our city, country, and world. Select issues that interest you, research the different viewpoints, and take a stand!
Art
Learn the techniques and principles of drawing. Become a more skilled artist through projects designed to help you translate ideas, pictures, and real life objects into drawing and collage!
French
Learn the basics of the French language and explore French culture!
Glee Club
Learn to sing and dance to three different songs with the other members of glee club, and get a chance to show your stuff in a performance!
Health
Explore ways to become and stay healthy in body and mind through projects about disease, substance abuse, life choices, self esteem, and other challenges that teens face.
Humane Education
Explore ways to protect and respect humans, animals, and the environment. Learn why we face so many problems in the world today and then come up with solutions!
Peer Tutoring
Help younger students master the skills they need. Tutor elementary school students who need you help!
