Children's Workshop Students are not "waiting on the world to change..." They are doing their best to change it themselves.. They are taking what they have learned and sharing information and their message outside of the school.  Teacher Miriam Sicherman's class saw the success of their year long research and advocacy when they unveiled the new street sign for Elizabeth Jennings Place. Councilman Alan Gerson was instrumental in supporting the student's efforts. Chancellor Joel Klein joined the CWS community as they celebrated their permanent history lesson for the City of New York!
