The High School for Health Professions and Human Services is a specialized high school for students interested in exploring and preparing for careers in the health science and human services fields. Parental involvement including an active PTA and a School Leadership Team contributes to the design and support of a rigorous curriculum. Developed in collaboration with colleges, universities, medical facilities, and human services agencies, the curriculum emphasizes the rigorous and diverse preparation necessary to promote the academic, social and personal qualifications needed to enter these fields. In accordance with this our program requires students to take a fourth year of math and science. Elective programs in research and college level courses, in both the sciences and the humanities, prepare students for the post-secondary education required for entry into the health and human services fields.
