Independence High School is committed to incorporating the Arts into the curriculum. To this end, we have developed collaborations with:
Lincoln Center Theater/Open Stages Program – A program composed of four elements: pre-show visits, teacher workshops, performances, and follow-up visits.
Symphony Space/Curriculum Arts Project – A multicultural Arts program in African, Asian, and Native American studies. A curriculum-based, multicultural, social studies project that uses the Arts to engage students.
Women’s Project – “Ten Centuries of Women Playwrights.” Students read and analyze plays and write their own plays. In a culmination production, students perform their work.
