Computer lab
I.S./P.S. 76 offers Technology Enrichment in a Computer Lab.  There are also workstations in each classroom, as well as a mobile lab of laptop computers.  It is one of our goals that our 21st Century students receive differentiated instruction throughout the content areas that integrates current and emerging educational technologies.

During the 2009-2010 school year, the computer lab was upgraded courtesy of a Reso A Project granted by the Manhattan Borough President's Office.  Currently, the school is implementing another Reso A grant to install interactive whiteboards in all classrooms, and an audiovisual console in the school auditorium.

PS 76M is one of 30 NYC public elementary schools in the iZone program which is piloting 1:1 computing in grades 3,4,5. Grade three students receive differentiated instructional practice in English Language Arts and Mathematics using Pearson's Successmaker software. Grade four students receive instruction in English Language Arts and Mathematics using Time to Know software. Grade five students are the control group, and as such receive instruction through "traditional" instructional methods.
