One goal of the Technology Department is to ensure that Wadleigh faculty and staff have the necessary tools and skills to both perform their responsibilities efficiently and equip our students with the technological experience necessary to compete in the 21 st century. To that end, we target two major areas: personal skill sets and classroom skill sets.
Personal Skill Sets
These are the necessary skills and tools for efficient recordkeeping, communication, and basic workplace productivity. Examples include the use of record-keeping software; the ability to skillfully navigate Windows XP; and proficiency with Outlook.
Classroom Skill Sets
Incorporating tools such as webquests, streaming video, smartboards, and internet research into the classroom can increase student engagement with the material.
