Vision

Mott Hall II is dedicated to the academic and personal development of middle school students who will become tomorrow's leaders. Students are challenged to question, anticipate and solve problems, assume personal responsibility, and emerge as enthusiastic life - long learners and independent thinkers motivated by the pursuit of academic excellence and social responsibility. A college-preparatory middle school, Mott Hall II strives to balance a rigorous academic program with the nurturing and support that our students need to navigate their early teen years and to be prepared for high school, college, and careers. Through our varied programs and technology focus, students are given frequent opportunities to explore their leadership potential, academic pursuits, and extra-curricular interests. Mott Hall II seeks to bring the resources usually associated with top private schools to our students through our wide range of programs, partnerships, and facilities.

Our Community

At Mott Hall II, all members of our community work together on an on-going basis to help us improve. Parents are active partners in the school – through PTA, School Leadership Team, and volunteer opportunities – and help us to regularly assess our progress. Students also have a voice – they lead their own conferences, take on leadership roles within the school, work together regularly, and provide feedback to teachers. Our teaching faculty works collaboratively to meet the needs of all students through a differentiated approach to professional development – learning from each other and through action research on topics relevant to their teaching. Teachers also serve as advisors, elective teachers, and club/activity sponsors and coaches.
