The cognitive center at Esperanza serves students in the community with moderate to severe disabilities, providing an adapted curriculum that is connected to Common Core Learning Standards.  We are focued on placing scholars within the least restrictive environment to ensure they have the greatest success.  Our Cognitive staff also works closely with content area teachers to develop Individualized Education Plans and help bring differentiated teaching techniques and strategies to all EPA classrooms.  We work to provide scholars with an education in our community school with their same aged peers without disabilities.
