An English Language Learner (ELL) is a student that speaks a language other than English at home and scores below a state-designated level of proficiency in English upon entering the New York City (NYC) public school system.
The NYC Department of Education Office of ELLs is dedicated to serving the needs of these students. PS92 mission is to provide ELLs and their families with equity and access to an excellent education by strengthening instructional staff, promoting parental involvement, and improving material resources.
