Program Overview

P.S. 123 offers the Schoolwide Enrichment Model which infuses enrichment learning opportunities into all aspects of the school curriculum. Students' strengths, interests and learning style preferences are used to enhance the regular curriculum through engagment and enjoyment. The following programs are also offered to support student learning:  Morning and Extended Day Programs, Teachers' College Reading/Math Tutors, Big Brother/Big Sister School Based Mentoring Program,  Oglivy One's Student Internship Program, Reed Business Student Internship Newspaper Program, West Harlem Group Student Technology Club, West Harlem Housing Program for Families, Carmel Hill's Accelerated Reading Program, Reach the World Program, Columbia Presbyterian Mental Health Clinic, Harlem Hospital School Based Clinic, Graham Windham Agency for Families, the Art Therapy/Caring Program, City College Music Buddies, Sports and Arts Extended Day Program, Goddard Riverside Community Resources, Learning Leaders Volunteer Program, Teachers College's Adult Literacy Program/ GED/Computer Program, and the YMCA Music Program. 


GED Program

Public School 123 is entering its third year of offering a GED Program for parents.  The program is supported by Columbia University.  This is an opportunity for parents to earn their GED.  Classes are held in the Parent Resource Room which is housed in P.S. 123's basement.  If you are interested in participating in the GED Program, please contact Ms. Cadlett, Parent Coordinator.  Parent graduates will be provided the opportunity to attend college in September, 2008.  Don't miss this great opportunity to earn your GED!
