The Ralph Bunche School's mission is to build bridges to excellence.  We are committed to providing an environment where diversity in learning style is acknowledged and creativity in thinking is promoted.  Through the integration of technology and the arts into the core curricula, every child at PS 125 is availed with the opportunity to meet high academic standards.  Parents, staff, and community organizations collaborate around the implementation of our intellectually enriching instructional program that empowers our students with the necessary tools to meet the ever-increasing global interdependence and informatics’ challenges of the 21st Century.

Our school is dedicated to teaching the whole child.  Our school offers special programs that provide academic and social enrichment.  They include:

the Ujima Afterschool Enrichment Program; Kaplan; Brienza; Junior Achievement; Everybody Wins-Power Lunch Program (tutorial program); AUSSIE; Marilyn Burns; Piano School of the Arts; the French Embassy; the B'Nai Jashurun Reading Partners; Barnard College Student Tutors; Ballet Tech; Saturday Academy; Boy Scouts of America; Girl Scouts of America; French-Dual language program; French Heritage Language Program; keyboarding (music); swimming; long-distance learning; computer-integration.
At the Ralph Bunche School we believe in developing the whole child. Our extracurricular activities include: The Ujima After School Enrichment Program, which offers Drama, Poetry, Karate, Stepping, Sports and Conflict Resolution. We also have afterschool programs in Arts/Music, Chess, and Swimming.
Our community partnerships include Harlem Dowling Westside Center, Inc., Concerned Black Men (New York Chapter), Everybody WINS-Power Lunch Program, Morningside Area Alliance, Church of the Masters Mentoring Program.
