We have a wide variety of extracurricular activities which includes a Cheerleading Squad, Dance Group, Karate, Girls' Club, Ballet Tech, Chess Club, Student Council, Finley Melody Makers (children's choir), and Track, Scores Soccer Team, Dance in Education and In House Boys and Girls basketball teams.
Professional Development will ensure that the physical education teacher receives instruction and guidance in implementing the New York City and State Standards for Physical Education in grades PreK-6. The physical education teacher will also attend workshops sponsored by the Region on current and new trends in Physical Education (obesity, asthma care, etc…) Professional development in physical education will also be offered through workshops sponsored by the physical best program for all classroom teachers, staff, as well as parents. Students will also be able to take part in After School sporting activities such as basketball karate, and other exercise programs.
