RAPIDLY IMPROVING/GAP CLOSING SCHOOL


          On May 15, 2007, our school was given the great honor of being recognized as one of  New York State's 226 "rapidly improving" public and private schools by the University of the State of New York Education Department.  Our school has been so designated because it made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in English Language Arts, mathematics, science and/or graduation rate during the past three school years and improved its performance during this period on those measures for which it was below state standards.
       We are very proud of this recognition! It is our goal to continue our efforts to educate and motivate our students. We do this with high expectations and high standards.
