Our Mission

The mission of the Harriet Tubman Learning Center is to provide a safe, child-centered environment, focused on educating all students to become literate, critical thinkers and independent learners through excellence in teaching and learning.  With a strong commitment to our students and community, we will ensure the academic success of all.

  • Academic Intervention Services are provided to meet the needs of all students who require additional assistance (levels 1 and 2) to meet the State and City standards in ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies.
  • Programs that are designed in order to enhance the psychological, social and physical skills of the students.
  • Community-Based Organizations offer a variety of academic programs to the students. They help in articulating PS 154 academic goals to improve the students' literacy skills in meeting the performance standards.
