Activities: Chess Tournament, Robotics Demonstrations, Science Inquiries, ST Math Written Explanations and PowerPoint presentations. All these learning experiences were supported by 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade students from CS 154. These hands-on projects stimulate our students’ creativity, math/science rigor and technology proficiency. Our booth presentations were coordinated for the fourth year by Ms. Cunningham, Science Teacher, Ms. Dominguez Math Coach and staffed for the second year by Ms. Goldman, Third Grade Teacher. Ms. Perry, Technology Specialist worked with 5th Grade students to create PowerPoint presentations of ST Math program objectives and this was her first year seeing CS 154 students present to attendees. Mr. Dennis Walcott also stopped by our Robotics demonstration and students eagerly taught him how to use the Lego Mindstorms Scribble Pad. It was a great experience for all our students and mentors and we look forward to next year’s Super Saturday Science Technology Engineering Math Expo.
