Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Please be advised that effective March 1, 2006, Mr. William Dugan will officially become the Interim Acting Principal of HS MSE @ CCNY. A challenging new opportunity arose and I have accepted a position as Principal of Brooklyn Technical High School.
Bill Dugan is a founding member of our school community, having served on the initial planning team as the first teacher hired for the school. During the past four years he served by my side as UFT Chapter Chair, Attendance Coordinator, Dean of Students, Program Chair and numerous other roles culminating with his appointment as the Assistant Principal for Science and Physical Education. Mr. Dugan has assisted in the decision making process, shaped policy and procedure and facilitated the actualization of our collaborative vision of the school.
It has been a pleasure working with the students, parents and faculty of our school community. The creation of HS MSE was a rewarding and fulfilling experience that has forever shaped the lives of those who were a part of the process. Though HS MSE will always be a part of me, the moving to Brooklyn Technical HS affords me the opportunity to replicate the acclaimed learning environment we have developed here at HS MSE on a much larger scale.
I have complete confidence in Bill Dugan's ability to propel HS MSE to new heights and with the full support of the Local Instructional and Regional Superintendents; I know HS MSE is in excellent hands.
