October 23 - 31, 2014: Red Ribbon Week

This wonderful campaign brings awareness to drug prevention.  Organized by our SAPIS worker, Ms. Figueroa,the week is filled with activities that fight against drugs and promote a healthy lifestyle.  Visit redribbon.org for more information.


October 24, 2014: Hispanic, Polish, Italian Assembly

Join usat 9am as we begin our monthly multicultural assembly programs.

At this assembly, we welcome Ms. Carstens-Hall & Class 401, and

Mr.Schweingruber and Class 402, as they present key information and perform

traditional cultural dances.

October 30, 20143rd and 4th Grade Workshops

Join us at 2:45pm as our 3rd Grade teachers and 4th Grade teachers make separate grade-level presentations.  Our 3rd grade teachers will be discussing upcoming events and how you can receive up to date information, while our 4th grade teachers will present information regarding the transition between 4th and 5th grade, expectations, and what you and your child have to look forward to. 

October 31, 2014: Character Day

Celebrate literary characters by dressing up as one of your favorite characters from any literary genre.  Bring a copy of the book to share with your teachers and classmates!

October 31, 2014Parent Workshop - Math at Home (K-2)

Led by: Mr. Chao (Math Coach)

Join us at 9am in the large cafeteria for tips on how to integrate math learning at home. Math games and supporting material will be provided for you to take home.  Note: This workshop is targeted for families with children enrolled in Kindergarten through Second Grade.

November 7, 2014The Shakespeare Society Partnership Program Begins!

Our 5th grade students will begin participating in a 6 week program with the illustrious teaching artists from The Shakespeare Society.  It will be an exciting 1 1/2 months as our students delve into the Shakespearian world of Macbeth.
