Our school is a learner-centered institution that promotes successful learning for all our children and adults. We believe that every individual is unique and that all our staff, children, parents and caregivers are acknowledged learners. To meet that goal our school has implemented a strong literacy and math component whereby children are actively involved in the learning process. Our school's Safety Committee meets on a regular basis to ensure our students' and staff safety. Our staff participates in in-house staff development as well as college courses offered by Mercy College and Hunter University. Parents are also involved in our learner-centered community. They participate in workshops that empower them to become active participants in their child's education. GED, ESL, Computers, Arts and Crafts courses are also offered.
