Overview

Our goal is to provide every child with a comprehensive education program to meet individual needs so that all children grow to their fullest potential and become independent, lifelong learners.

The Arts and Technology play an integral part in the development and enrichment of our academic program. We will continue to create a safe environment that will promote self-esteem and foster respect and tolerance for all.

Through a collaborative effort of parents, staff and community resources, our children will meet the high standards and challenges necessary for success in the 21st Century.

The school community takes responsibility for the academic growth of each child:

  • Teachers plan effective lessons, differentiate instruction and monitor progress with consistent formal and informal assessments
  • Administrators conference with teachers to monitor growth of students and support effective instruction
  • Support personnel are aware of student needs and provide direct instruction through intervention to improve academic growth
  • Guidance Counselors/Family Workers assist in the academic achievement of students by providing counseling to students and parents
  • All staff members adopt the common goal of active behavior management

We agree to meet the needs of every student by implementing these standards:
  • The 3 R's: Respect, Responsibility, and Relationships
  • Explicit expectations for behavior, which are modeled, communicated and demonstrated in the classroom, corridors, lunchroom and schoolyard
  • Positive learning environment, which promotes self-esteem
  • Performance based accountability
  • Data driven decision making
  • Research based practice
