2.2 STAFF - In the case of A. Philip Randolph staff, STARTING TIME FOR ALL STAFF WILL BE AT 10:00 AM. All school personnel have the responsibility and obligation to report to work by the starting time with a delayed opening.

2.3 It is expected that regular dismissal time be adhered to.

2.4 All field trips and after school activities are canceled on delayed opening days.

2.5 The day is to be reported as a Regular Full Instructional Day for purposes of reporting and attendance.

2.6 Normal attendance reporting standards apply (absences, lateness) based on the late starting time.

2.7 Delayed school openings due to weather conditions will be automatically noted by the ATS and UAPC system on student attendance records.

2.8 In the event that a storm intensifies during the school day, the Chancellor will notify all Superintendents and radio and television media and bus services of an earlier dismissal schedule. (This information will then be conveyed to the school principals.)

2.9 In all cases, parents should be advised now to discuss contingency plans with their children in case children are released early and parents are not at home to care for them. If possible parents should make arrangements with a friend, neighbor or relative who is at home during the day.
