PS 49 Technology Club - PS 49 Mouse Squad

 

The purpose of the PS 49 Technology Club, also known as the Mouse Squad, is to help students grow in their abilities to utilize technology at PS 49 and for those students to aid in technology issues within their classes.

 

The Technology Club of PS 49 will meet on Fridays from 2:20-3:00 PM in Room 218 with Mr. Gage as the advisor.  Students will be engaged in learning how various programs operate, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Pixie, as well as using those programs to create projects and disseminate their learning to others.  The students will also learn how to deal with various hardware issues, e.g. Smartboards, so they may aid in classroom issues that may arise.

 

 

Participation in the Mouse Squad should aid students in literacy, mathematics, analytic thinking skills as well as moving from school to work.

 

To participate in the Mouse Squad students must:

1.         Satisfactorily complete the attached application

2.        Be recommended by their teacher and receive parental permission

3.        Have permission for e-pal email usage and have permission for their work to be displayed on the internet through parental permission.

4.        Students must behave responsibly with integrity and respect.  Those who do not or cannot will be dropped from the Mouse Squad.
