Is your child ready for the ELA Exam?

Here are a few things you can do to ensure that your child does his/her best:

¨ Read - Ensure that your child reads every day for at least 30 minutes and respond in his/her journal.                                                                   

¨ Take Notes  - Choose one night each week and watch a television show with your child. While your child is watching the show have him/her take notes. At the end of the show , have your child respond to a question about the show in writing.

¨ Attendance  - Ensure that your child attends school every day and that he/she is on time.

¨ Test Prep  -  Enroll your child in test prep classes and ensure that he/she attends all sessions.

¨ Homework - Check your child’s homework assignments every day. All students at M.S. 343 receive homework  every day. If your child is not completing homework, enroll him/her in the after school program , and check the homework on the class pages of our website, www.aamt343.com.

¨ Sleep - Ensure that your child gets at least eight (8) hours of sleep each night. Children who are well rested learn better in the school day.
