At Mott Hall III, Impact Mathematics is the core curriculum utilized in all grades, 6 to 8.  We use journals, portfolios and assessments that simulate the NYS exam to monitor student growth.  All classes are comprised of a math skills component that encourages students to track their own progress and to facilitate conferencing  between teacher and student. 

Enrichment and After-School classes are offered for students to further develop their mathematical skills for preparation for the Specialized High Schools and Regents Exams.  In an attempt to foster higher order thinking skills, teachers create assignments that allow our students to connect and apply mathematical concepts to real-life situations and significant local, national, and global issues.
