    • Have you ever read a book that you can't get out og your head? It stays with you, playing in your head like a movie. As it plays, your brain keeps lighting up with new ideas to answer those lingering questions and mouth swells burning with desire to share these thoughts -- but you can't find anyone to share the experience with.

OR do you like English class the most when you get to talk about life & hear others' thoughts and experiences?

OR do you know that you probably should be reading more, but you don't like reading because its  lonely and boring?

If any of these cases are true, then Ms. Stumpf's Book Club is for you! In this club we will read chapters of a book on our own, and then bring the book to life through our discussions. We'll talk about the characters, our personal reactions, and explore others' questions. We'll kick off the club with a short story collection by Pulizer Prize winning Dominican author Junot Diaz entitled Drown. Each story captures an experience a young Dominican kid has growing up in both DR and NJ. Throughout the stories, the narrator struggles with his unreliable family, drugs, and what it means to be a Dominican guy. You drolling yet?
