The Urban Science Academy is on the third floor of the Arturo Toscanini Complex (formerly CJHS 145).  For those wishing to travel by subway, bus, or rail, the following directions are customized depending on the line used:

SUBWAY

 
Take the 4 train to 161st Street/Yankee Stadium.  From the stadium, you have two options:

• Walk: walk east on East 161st Street (away from Yankee Stadium) through the tunnel and continue until Park Avenue.  Turn left on Park Ave and at the first intersection continue on Teller Ave (a slight bend to the left).  The school is two blocks down on the right.
• Bus: take the Hunts Point-bound Bx6 bus to Park Avenue and East 161st Street.  During rush hours you can also take a 3rd Ave-bound Bx13 bus to Park Avenue and East 161st Street.  Walk north on Park Ave and at the first intersection continue on Teller Ave (a slight bend to the left).  The school is two blocks down on the right.

Take the B or D train to 167th Street.  Walk south on Grand Concourse to East 165th Street.  Take a left on East 165th Street and walk to Teller Avenue.  Note: The B train goes into the Bronx during rush hours only and operates local.  Also during rush hours, the D train runs express in the peak direction (to Manhattan in the morning, from Manhattan in the afternoon) and will not stop in the peak direction at 167th Street.  Always ensure you are on a local B or D train.


Take the 2 or 5 train to 3rd Ave/149th Street.  Take the Williamsbridge-bound Bx41 Local bus and get off at East 165th Street and Webster Ave.  Walk two blocks west on East 165th Street to Teller Ave.  Note: The Bx2 has been permanently rerouted onto Grand Concourse and no longer serves the 3rd Avenue/149th Street subway station or Teller Avenue in front of the school.

Bx41-Local: East 165th St & Webster Ave (5 minute walk)
Bx41-Limited: East 162nd St & Melrose Ave (7 minute walk)

RAIL

Metro-North:  The Arturo Toscanini Complex is located two blocks north of the Melrose stop on Metro-North's Harlem line.  Exit the train station onto East 162nd St, go right on East 162nd St, right on Teller Ave, and follow Teller Ave two blocks to the school, which will be on the right.  For schedules, visit the Metro-North website.
