The mission of John F. Kennedy High School is to assist its students to achieve the NYS standards for secondary education. Each student is expected to accomplish a secondary diploma while advancing in their skills and abilities to contribute to the benefit of their personal growth and that of the community. JFK HS seeks to develop students fully in an extensive program that challenges individual social, physical and academic development. In a collegial organization of smaller learning communities the student is strengthened through a cohort of students and staff that know the individual well and work collaboratively to expand expectation and advance accomplishments. The goal of the school is to achieve academic excellence in a safe and encouraging learning environment. Students will receive individual assistance to attain the highest educational standards. As a 21st Century school JFK seeks to share its resource with its community neighbors.
