Science

The PS 54 science cluster exposes students to the scientific world through experiential laboratory work, field trips in the neighborhood and local science areas, individual and group projects, and specific topic exploration. 

Our early grades study the physical characteristics and life cycles of animals, the solar system, and the three states of matter.  Upper grade students study how plants make food, the environment, magnetism, erosion, the water cycle and basic concepts of physics.
