    Club Fridays


    Every Friday afternoon, students dance, sing, draw, write and create projects during enrichment blocks as the entire school transforms into a hub of enrichment activities.  By participating in clubs based on their own interests, students develop new skills and gain knowledge about subjects that they might not necessarily have the chance to explore during the regular school week.

    Club Broadway 
    Are you ready to be a star? If you like to dance, sing and act then look no further. Club Broadway utilizes elements such as speech, gesture, music, dance, and acting, combining all of the performing arts, as well as the visual arts, into a single artistic form. This is your chance to get ready for Broadway.

    Explorers' Club
    Do you wonder how things happen? Do you like to experiment? If so then the science club is for you. This year we will explore the world of gardening with native plants, science fair project topics, chemistry and much more! Get ready to have a BLAST!

    Club Funtastic 
    So, you think you’re smart? Think you’ve got skills? If you enjoy playing new games and solving puzzles and riddles, then this may be the club for you! We will be introducing you to fun new games that challenge your mind and give you a chance to enjoy some friendly competition. We will play Rush Hour, Quoridor, Sudoku, crossword puzzles computer games and more. So come show off your brainpower!

    Pinewood Derby 
    Vrooom! Have you ever dreamed of being Speed Racer? Now you can learn the art of building a type of racing car called the Pinewood Derby. After making your speed machine, you will help to build a racetrack to test the speed of your car.

    Butler Buzz Club 
    Do you like to get the inside scoop?  Do you like to know the real deal and let everyone know about it?  The BBC encourages students to get real life stories and share them with the world.   Get the who, what, when, where, why and how from teachers, friends and family through one-on-one interviews.  Tell your story through journalism and photography.  Let us know the buzz, we’ll write about it!

    Gone Green 
    Now you can learn how to create detailed and elaborate sculptures using different types of recycled materials. The goal is that each student will realize the potential of items that are often discarded but can be turned into beautiful works of art. Using creativity, sculpture design skills and recyclables.  This club will turn today’s trash into tomorrow treasures!

    Historical Society 
    Travel the world through social studies! Students in historical society will study world geography and world culture by creating artistic projects focusing on Africa, China and Brazil.

    Techno-Botics
    Techno-botics club allows you to build robots that obey your every command. Advance your knowledge and understanding of robots by working with computers, small interlocking parts, robot kits, and a robot to go to competition.

    Imagineers Club
    Are you interested in the ever-changing world of technology and computer engineering?   Now you can learn how to use a SmartBoard, laptop and Ipod. Imagineers will experience pod casting blogging, PowerPoint, SmartBoard tools and Internet based activities, all while practicing your keyboarding skills.

    Weird Science
    Every week children will be involves in hands-on science experiments. These experiments will be used to foster vocabulary development. The children will be working on the following skills: creative thinking, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving measuring, spacial relations, hypothesizing, experimenting, observing, recording data, using their senses and using the scientific process. Some of the experiments we will conduct are: making a volcano, dancing raisins, electric gelatin, making bubbles, making oobleck, mixing colors, wind races, magic water and five minute ice cream. 

    Creative Arts 
    Creative arts gives children a natural vehicle to express their emotions. Children are allowed to express their individuality through the arts. Art will be used to foster vocabulary development. Various media will be explored, such as painting, drawing, sculpting, puppetry, finger plays, drama and music.

    Toy Making 
    Come join us for a fun time with toy making. We are going to learn how to create our own toys to share with our friends. We will learn how to cut, paste and measure. It will be fun for all!

    Puppetry
    Students will explore various genres such as fairy tails, and non-fiction through the art of puppetry. We will bring the puppets to life through storytelling and playacting. Children will create masks, hand, string and finger puppets.

    Scrapbooking 
    Children will discus and learn about families and communities by creating a “My Family, My Community” scrapbook. They will bring in fabric, stickers, buttons, ribbons and family photos to help personalize their final project.

    Jewelry Making 
    Let your creativity come alive! If you love creating crafts that are as unique as you are, come and be a pert of the Jewelry Making Club. Come and learn the fine art and techniques of making your own jewelry.

    American Sign Language
    American Sign Language for Kids is a great way to get started learning sign language. Learn how to communicate with a deaf family member or friend. American Sign Language is a rich language of gestures and hand symbols. Each gesture represents either a concept, a word or a letter. In cases where a gesture doesn't exist for a particular idea, a word can be spelled out, letter by letter, using finger spelling. Want to learn some sign language?
