Balanced Literacy; Workshop model in reading, writing, math and science; Literature connections and enrichment in all subject areas; desktop computer stations in all classrooms; laptops and Axims in grades 4 and 5; 32 station MAC computer lab; Title I Services in reading and writing; nurturing child-centered early childhood program, ESL Services; Academic Intervention Services; Student Advisory Council; Storytelling course: students investigate known and unknown stories from various cultures, the common threads in these stories, and the teaching of lessons about human behavior; Technology Squad - Grades 4-5 only, students who have expressed interest in 'how does it work, and these students are now the 'troubleshooters for the school computer and printers, and solve minor computer problems.
