English Department

The English Department at EBT is committed to teaching students to develop and refine their talents in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking. The student-centered lessons provide an environment where students can interpret and analyze culturally diverse literature and poetry while learning to write critically about the same. Various festivals, such as the Renaissance Café, introduce students to a world that celebrates literature and art and prepares them for membership in that world. The English Department offers Honors and Advanced Placement classes to students who meet the criteria for admission. Students who need extra help may take advantage of the after school tutoring program or the Saturday Humanities Institute.
