Our school day officially starts at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. Students who attend Extended Morning /Safety Net arerequired to be in school at 8:10 a.m. Breakfast for Extended Morning children begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 8:10 a.m. From 8:10 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. breakfast will be served for all other students. We encourage parents to bring their child(ren) on time. Lateness leads to missed instruction and disrupts morning routines. Morning drop off for children in grades K-5 is through the Pacific Street entrance. Pre-K children are to be escorted by parents to the classroom through the Dean Street entrance.
In order to foster independence parents are not allowed in the cafeteria or in the schoolyard.

Dismissal
Pre-K students will be dismissed from their classroom using the Dean Street playground entrance. Grades 1-2 will be dismissed by teachers through the Pacific Street main entrance. Grades 3-5 will exit through the Dean Street exit. Parents must meet their children outside. In caseof inclement weather parents may meet their children in the cafeteria.

Ø Students who do not attend Extended Morning will not be admitted until 8:10 A.M.
Student Attendance/ Lateness
As per Chancellor Regulation ( see Chancellor Regulation A-210) attendance is required for all students. Attendance is vital part of school year. If your child is ill and unable to come to school, please provide a valid doctor's note to your child's teacher or the attendance monitor. In the event that your child is absent for 3 more consecutive days, our attendance monitor will require an explanation and specific documentation stating the reason for the absence.

In the event of an emergency student safety is our priority. Staff members will escort the entire school community to the designated emergency sites:
