Principal's Message

Dear Families,

When you talk about creating an  environment that is warm, welcoming and nurturing towards children, there is no better place to be than The Pacific School. Our school is a fabulous community.Every child who walks through the doors of P.S. 38 is respected, valued and  understood. Our commitment is in making certain that every child is treated in  a manner that supports their social and emotional well-being. As a community,we all take part in ensuring that individual needs are met.

Our vision is clear. We believe  that all children should be immersed in strong academics. We feel that an  inquiry-based approach to learning is critical to broadening our students  thinking and learning. This process provides children with an opportunity to  delve into a course of study. 

Children are able to ponder,question, wonder and internalize newly acquired information. As a result, they  begin to become aware of themselves as learners and cognitively aware of  the world around them.  Through the  process of inquiry, infused with opportunities for experiential learning, our  children will ultimately learn to become wonderfully deep critical thinkers.Our expectations for great teaching and learning are high. We expect nothing  less!

Our work is inspired by our  innate belief that our children are the up and coming “movers and shakers” of the new millennium. They have incredible minds that must be constantly  challenged. So, we want you to push your thinking! Begin to explore stronger  opportunities that promote on-going student achievement.
