Technology

PS 124 is very proud of our work in technology.  Our upper grade children have access to laptops and frequently use them.  They have one period per week designated to learning keyboarding skills, microsoft office skills, and more.  In addition to this period, our school has a partnership with Teaching Matters.  A consultant works alongside teachers, in classrooms,  showing students how to communicate and display their work through blogging.  Our school blog is used by most (grade 3-5) classrooms and a link to this can be found on top of this web page!  Come visit us!!

We also have computers in the library where students do research and work on reports.   During the afterschool enrichment program students produce a school newspaper where they are able to combine their research and keyboarding skills in a fun and meaningful way.
