New Voices is one of ten middle schools in the city and the only middle school in Region 8 to have been selected as an Exemplary Site for Arts Education.

New Voices is a chapter member of the National Junior Honor Society.

Theater for a New Audience is a professional theater group that works with the theater students on playwriting and performance. Actors and writers teach students to write and perform their own versions of a Shakespearean play.

New Voices is the only school in Brooklyn to be selected by the National Book Foundation to host a writer-in residence that works with the students.

Guggenheim Partnership focuses on curriculum-based arts with trips to the museum.

Celebration of the Arts: All students participate in one large production that incorporates every arts discipline.

Other shows: The traditional sixth grade Battle of the Dances, Talent Showcase, the Holiday Extravaganza, and the Arts Gallery Showcase.
