Dear Parent/Guardian:
I would like to take this time to welcome you back to the Jackie Robinson Public School 375 Family. The first day of school is September 8, 2011 and school begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. every day. If you are unsure of your child’s teacher, please check the large bulletin board in the main lobby for updated class and room assignments. There will also be monitors to help with any questions or concerns. Our normal school days on Mondays – Thursdays, run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:57 p.m. On Fridays, we dismiss at 2:20 p.m. Your child will be given a list of materials, by his/her teacher that is needed for the school year. Please be reminded that we are a Chancellor’s mandated uniform school and your child MUST wear his/her uniform to school every day; NO EXCEPTIONS! If you have not done so already, please go to Cookies Department Store and request the uniform for the Jackie Robinson Public School 375. Students are even permitted to wear dark colored slacks as long as they wear a white shirt or blouse.
In observance of Rosh Hashanah, school will be CLOSED on Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th, 2011. School will reopen on Monday, October 3rd, 2011at 8:00 a.m. SHARP! EXTENDED DAY SESSIONS WILL BEGIN THIS DAY TOO!
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD IS PICKED UP ON TIME! IF YOU PICK UP YOUR CHILD LATE MORE THAN THREE (3) TIMES IN THE SCHOOL YEAR, YOU WILL BE CALLED IN BY THE GUIDANCE TEAM FOR A MANDATORY CONFERENCE. ANY OTHER INCIDENTS WILL BE REFERRED TO AN OUTSIDE AGENCY FOR FURTHER FOLLOW-UP.
