Extracurricular Activities
The extracurricular activities at I.S. 285 offer a variety of options for students that target a diversity of interests. Activities include a girls and boys basketball team, The Sports and Arts in Schools program including steel pan, athletics, and homework assistance, The Bilingual Excel program, an extended day academic program in reading and math, Saturday Academies that offer exam preparation, and The Meyer Levin Performing Arts play production program, among others. I.S. 285 also houses The Medgar Evers after school Beacon program.
