The teachers and staff at PS 200 set high academic and behavior expectations for all of our children. We have a renewed determination to create the most positive and challenging learning environment for our students. We celebrate our successes as we challenge and enrich each child. We use consistent progress monitoring assessments to guide our instruction and to provide the appropriate interventions when necessary. We look at each child as an individual and differentiate our instruction in order to meet his/her needs. As we strive to provide the best instruction for each child, we believe strongly that this instruction has to be supported in the home and by the community. We all know that student success is guaranteed when all of us take responsibility for their educational development. When we all work together, our children have the best opportunity to reach their full potentials. We know our children are our future; and we see them as doctors, lawyers, scientists, administrators, managers, and even presidents.
It is an honor and a privilege to be serving you and your children as the principal of PS 200. I look forward to sharing the 2008-2009 school year with each of you and working with you to ensure that each child has a safe and successful learning experience.
