Welcome

 Committed to Excellence

                  Please join us for our
        Fourth Annual Family Literacy Night
              Thursday, March 1, 2012
                           6:30PM

We will discuss how we are implementing the new Common
Core Learning Standards to meet the academic needs of our students.
In addition, we will also have acclaimed author Jon Scieszka, who wrote The True Story Of The Three Little Pigs and Spaceheadz, as well as other children's books attending the event to discuss how literature impacts children all over the world.
Family Literacy Night is structured to support proficient readers. We hope you can attend this woderful event in order to help us collaboratively create a community of lifelong readers.

Friday February 3, 2012 is NATIONAL HEART DAY to create awareness for  women’s  heart  health. We are asking everyone to wear red to school on this day to show your support for this cause.

Tuesday February 14th, 2012 the PTA will be sponsoring a BAKE SALE FUNDRAISER. We are asking for a voluntary $5.00 donation to offset the cost of purchasing baked goods. Anyone who wishes to donate cake, please ensure that it is store bought, as we cannot accept home baked goods due to food allergy precautions.
Friday February 17th,  will be our next Spirit Day Fundraiser at P.S 200 for a great cause. It will be PAJAMA DAY at our school in support of St.  Judes Research Hospital for children. We are asking ALL students  and  staff  to wear their pajamas to school on this day and bring a donation of $1.00   for this great cause. 100% of the money collected on this day will go directly to this cause. We thought this would be a great way for our children to help other children. Please keep in mind that any pajamas worn to school must be appropriate, and respectful. No revealing pajamas please.

                ST JUDE'S MISSION

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
