Technology Program
      
      P.S. 247's Technology Integration within the classroom is exciting, challenging and also rewarding. P.S.247s students have the opportunity to use the Apple I-Books and Dell Notebooks in their daily lives.   

        The children work individually on personal research projects, and independently to improve their word processing skills. The students also work in cooperative groups, where as a team, they search the World Wide Web for a common purpose and investigate different real life situations and problems.

        The ever-growing laptop program helps to seamlessly integrate, and intertwine technology with different curriculum matter. The children use the laptop computers to journey on to the web to enhance their knowledge of social studies, famous authors, environmental problems, and current event topics.

       The children become experts at navigating the web. The laptop program is a valuable tool in helping children explore and examine the world they live in.
