A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PARENT COORDINATOR

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to our school! We are so pleased that you are joining our family of learners.  I will assist you in building a partnership in support of your child.  At Fort Hamilton High School, there are many on our team – administrators, teachers, and support staff – who are all committed to ensure your child’s academic success.  We look forward to working together to provide a wonderful year of learning and academic growth for your child.

One of the keys to your child’s success will be your ongoing involvement in our school community.  Throughout the school year, you will have the opportunity  to meet your child’s teacher, participate in the PTA, attend informative workshops and many events which we host to celebrate our students’ success.  As your child’s first and most important teacher, we also need you to help us get to know your child so that we can offer him/her the best learning experience possible.

As parent coordinator, I am available to provide information, answer questions, help you access resources for your child, and resolve problems that your child may encounter in school.  In order to keep the lines of communication open, please provide me your e-mail address. Feel free to come to my office (room 145/22) or call (718) 748-1537 x183 or e-mail fdeprima@school.nyc.gov when you need assistance.  Please also stop by just to say hello!

Please join us at our monthly Parent Teacher Association Meetings.  Best wishes to you and your child for a productive academic year.

Sincerely,

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PTA PRESIDENT

Dear Parents:

Welcome to another exciting and successful school year.  We enter the new school year with hope and optimism that our children will flourish in all that Fort Hamilton has to offer.

At Fort Hamilton High School, we are fortunate to have a combination of caring, concerned parents, and a group of dedicated teachers, staff and administration who instill in our children to excel not to settle.

The FHHS PTA is committed to assist in the education of all children.  It is vital that we work together as a team to accomplish this goal.  I urge all parents and teachers to attend PTA meetings.  Your input is important and will always be welcomed.  As parents, it is our obligation to keep ourselves informed and involved in the education of our children.  The PTA is also requesting that all parents and teachers support our fundraising efforts.  All funds raised during the school year are reinvested into FHHS for the benefit of our children.

Thanking you in advance for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,

Liz Meris

PTA President
