Our Mission

The mission of PS 199 is to instill a lifelong love of learning and to foster self-esteem in every child. In addition, we strive to work with parents to develop the social, educational and emotional needs of all children so that they will be able to meet the challenge of the future. We feel that literacy is the fundamental skill in a well-rounded education, which is essential in order for children to become law-abiding, contributing members of society.
