Murrow's unique daily schedule allows students and teachers more flexibility than is found in the traditional high school schedule. Most classes meet four times a week, with "band" lengths varying from 45 minutes to an hour. This permits variety in instructional methods, varies the school day and allows students some free time, affording students more opportunities to learn to manage their own time effectively.
