The mission of P.S. /I. S. 109 is to establish an educational environment where the goal is to meet the needs of the Whole Child. Our aim is to produce lifelong learners and thinkers by providing standards-driven instruction in all curriculum areas.
We will always seek a collaborative environment where parents, teachers, and children are active participants in the total learning process.
We believe that EVERY CHILD can be SUCCESSFUL if we:
- Provide a safe harbor for learning.
- Prepare them to meet all challenges.
- Concentrate on their strengths, not their weaknesses.
THEREFORE FAILURE WILL NEVER BE AN OPTION!!!
We feel this will best be accomplished when teachers and parents establish high standards for children.
