The Magnet program at P.S. 217 – The International School of Arts & Letters – provides high quality arts instruction for all students in pre-K through fifth grade. Magnet is providing many programs in the areas of visual arts, music, theater, and writing. Through Magnet, a new procedure has been instituted to ensure every class receives visual arts, music, and theater each school year on a rotating basis. As a result of this schedule, arts instruction is now being planned sequentially to build skills from Kindergarten through grade five.
