Arrival Policy
Students will be escorted to class at 8:00 a.m. Any student not in his classroom by 8:05 a.m. is considered late. Students reporting late to school are required to bring in a note from home explaining the reason for the lateness (with phone number for verification) or should be escorted by a parent to school. A late pass will be issued by the School Safety Agent and the student will walk to class and turn in the late pass to the teacher.
Excessive lateness is not acceptable.
Excessive lateness may lead to referrals to appropriate city agencies.
Dismissal Policy
At dismissal time, you or the person designated to pick up your child must wait outside the appropriate exit for your child’s class. Parents and other caregivers will not be permitted to wait inside the lobby or other school areas. Please do not attempt to transverse the interior of the school. Simply walk around the building to the designated meeting area. If you have more than one child in the school, feel free to coordinate one pick up location. Select one of the children’s exit, and correspond with any teachers involved in writing. If your child walks home, rides in van service, attends an after-school program, or attends an after-school religious program the teacher must have a note from you authorizing this practice. If we do not have a note on file, the child will not be dismissed on his/her own.
