Our P.S. 255 Family

Dear Parents,

    The P.S. 255 family encompasses a diverse student community, including children from many countries around the world. We have an extensive ESL team which addresses the needs of our English Language Learners. Our teachers are also an eclectic group, with over thirty teachers and staff who speak a language other than English. Our multi-cultural environment offers a welcoming atmosphere and fosters a spirit of mutual understanding. 

   The teachers at PS 255 are among the best in the field of education. Their credentials attest to their expertise in reading, math, science, and social studies. Our rigorous curriculum is enhanced by a team of specialists in the areas of art, music, science, physical education, and library science. These cluster teachers add a different perspective and provide additional review in select academic areas throughout the school year.
