Dear Parents,

    The P.S. 255 family believes in an education which reaches a diverse student community from far, wide and beyond the walls of Brooklyn. We have an extensive ESL team that caters to the needs of our English Language Learners. Our teachers are as diverse as they come with over thirty teachers and staff who speak a language other than English outside of the classroom. Many of our students come from diverse language backgrounds who are regularly made to always feel at home in P.S. 255. 

   Teaching and learning in the curricular areas of Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Reading, and Writing does not begin and end with our students' regular homeroom teacher. We at P.S. 255 employ a team of cluster teachers who circulate through the schedules of your childs' classes to add a different perspective and provide additional review in select academic areas throughout the school year.
