Our Mission

The Connie Lekas School, P. 811K is a multi-culture, multi-ethnic school that is committed to inspiring, guiding, and supporting its students and parents.  The P811K staff work collaboratively in a respectful and nurturing environment to develop quality educational programs for all our students.  Our core mission is to provide an educational environment that will enable all students to develop to their fullest potential through high performance standards.  Using a team approach, parents, students and staff share common goals and open communication which enables the school to maintain a program that enhances the lives of our students and encourages a welcoming and safe environment.  It is our belief that through these efforts the highest individual achievements will result in the development of capable, confident and contributing citizens for the 21st century.

  • The mission of P811K is to provide an educational environment that will enable all students to develop their fullest potential in an academic literacy based program with an emphasis on Activities for Daily Living with strong behavioral supports.
  • Students learn best when the subject matter is meaningful and the instruction is interesting.
  • Staff and parents need to be provided with professional development opportunities to enhance their role as life-long learners.
