Poetry Camp-Out
This year as part of the school wide theme of "Into the Woods" we decided to celebrate our successful unit on poetry with a camp-out in the school yard. Students painted and decorated tents with favorite animals, created campfires out of tissue paper, foil and empty towel rolls and, of course, no camp-out would be complete without a ride in a canoe.
The tents were erected and all the young poets sat around the camp-fire and read their creative and imaginative poems. Special camp-out food was shared and, all in all, it was truly the greatest camp-out ever!
